Title Tiers of Intervention in Kindergarten Through Third Grade

Summary

Reports results of an empirical study designed to investigate the impact of Tier 2 and 3 intervention on targeted students in kindergarten through grade 3. Descriptions of tiered instruction are provided. Results of the study report moderate to large effect sizes for direct intervention and a decrease in the number of students referred for special education.
