Bronx Charter School for the Arts (BCSA) is located in the Hunts Point section of South Bronx. Now in its sixth year of operation, BCSA serves 300 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Approximately 85% of the population qualify for free or reduced lunch. The school demographic reflects the community with a majority of  Hispanic/Latino students (60%) followed by Black/African American students (36%). A minority representation of Multiracial students (2%), White (1%) and Asian/Island Pacific (1%) form the balance of the population at BCSA. Only 6% of the students are considered Limited English Proficient. Currently 19% of the school population qualify for Special Education services.
